The SMART1 (Scale Microcontroller And Remote Terminal) is a multi-purpose device, freely programmable to perform a variety of duties in weigh scale applications, process control, data management and communication.
Equipped with a Motorola MC68HC11 microprocessor, a real time clock and non-volatile memory, the SMART1 is capable of collecting and managing large amounts of data. Five serial communication ports connect the SMART1 to devices like scale indicators, computers, wireless transceivers and printers. An I/O expansion socket can be used to control switches, lights, motors and other process control devices.
SMART1 applications include Truck In/Out, Unattended Scales, Batching and Filling Systems, and more. See the Custom Systems and Software page for more information.
