Western Scale Co. Limited (WSCL) designs, manufactures, and sells state of the art industrial weighing equipment across Canada and throughout the world. For nearly fifty years, we have worked to be an industry pioneer, providing our customers with superior scale systems to weigh, monitor, and control material throughout processing.

Products range from standard weighing systems such as truck, platform and conveyor scales to custom systems featuring data acquisition software for PC integration. In addition, WSCL produces our own line of best selling weighing instruments including digital scale indicators, remote displays and customized process control panels. All Western Scale products from precision instruments to high capacity vehicle scales are manufactured at our Port Coquitlam factory.

Locally, our Sales Team's goal is to provide the best solutions to any customer application and budget. We will work with you to prioritize your weighing needs and find the right product, even if we don't manufacture it. Our Service Department installs, calibrates and repairs all types of scales for a growing number of customers in all industries. As a Measurement Canada Authorized Service Provider, we can certify your weighing system "legal for trade".

HISTORY

In 1962, Western Scale Co. Limited was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia by David W. Frewin. The company grew rapidly in early years leading to a move to the Vancouver suburb of Port Coquitlam in 1974.

Having built up experience in process control systems, Western Scale adapted early as the weighing industry shifted towards electronics. Since the development of its first electronic indicators in 1976, WSCL has become Canada's leading manufacturer of industrial weighing systems and instruments. Today, WSCL has evolved into a comprehensive operation, proudly creating products in Canada from the ground up.  Western's manufacturing legacy is a core tenet of the company, being able to adjust quickly, control quality and engineer and innovate, and contribute to to the Canadian economy through exports, fairly compensated employees etc the employing approximately 50 people in manufacturing, warehouse and service facilities.
